A “Big” Announcement

April 25, 2008

… I always hesitate using the word “big” in a blog about weight loss  ;)   .

Any-who, the big news is I’m going to join the Transformation Contest when it starts back up. Cash and prizes, plus the ultimate in accountability (a contest!) — you can’t go wrong. I’ll post details as I come across them. Click on the link to see the winners from the last contest. The winner is kinda hot, too.

Coming up tomorrow or Sunday … an update on my weigh-in this week — the first full week of Turbulence Training with some Pace Program tossed in, with side dishes of Smart for Life and Eat Stop Eat and a dash of Thintuition. Could I fit more things into my life right now? Eh, maybe. But for now, this’ll do, reader, this’ll do.

BTW – the weigh in? Let’s just say I have a really good feeling about it. After all, I’ve had a sneak peek at week-to-date results.

    Good luck Bob.

How is the Eat Stop Eat plan coming along? I looked a little deeper into it and I am curious to hear from someone who has actually tried it.

It reminds me of a plan I played with a few years back that was designed to manipulate leptin / ghrelin concentrations in order to stimulate fat loss.

Have you tried a contest before? Great motivation. especially if there are before after pics and you have people to keep you accountable

Eat Stop Eat worked well this week. When I did it Sunday PM through Monday late afternoon, I took off all of the “bad” weight I put on Saturday night. Then on the Weds. PM – Thursday late afternoon shift, I dropped 3 pounds (weighed this morning). Combine that with exercise (which is what you’re supposed to do, according to the author), and I’ve had a good week.

And this is the first time I’ve ever done anything like this. I’m sure the before/afters will be motivation. I do find that accountability helps me a great deal with fat loss/exercise, too, and this contest will definitely do that!

Thanks for your comment, DR. They’re always appreciated.
