Sherpa Update, and Rollin’ With the Flu
November 11, 2007
For a variety of reasons, I have been unsuccessful in getting a camera to start doing any video Sherpa-ing (another one of those “Is that a word?” kind of things). Hopefully that will come in a week or so. Meantime…
That hasn’t stopped me from reviewing items for the site, though. I just finished my first read of 4-Hour Workweek by Tim Ferriss. When it comes to books, I’ll usually do a review after one good read-through of it. There’s so much going on in this book, , though, that I want to read it again before I start really commenting on it.
At the conference I went to a few weeks back where he keynoted, he had said that 4HWW is about much more than just hiring virtual assistants and cutting way, way back on e-mail. And he was right, of course (he did write it, after all, so he should know what he’s talking about).
Even 4HWW though it is a thin, almost unassuming-looking book, it packs a wallop. What’s more, if you implement even some of the ideas in it, your entire life will be walloped.
So as your temporarily text-based Sherpa, I already know what kind of overall review this’ll get — a very good one. It also puts the purpose of my very existence as your Gizmo Sherpa into question; I’ll get into that as well during my review.
Oh yeah, before I forget. I got a flu shot yesterday. And guess what? It works! I’ve got it. Yep, a runny nose that feel like it is stuck at max (or 11, if you’re a Spinal Tap fan), a really bad headache that refuses to leave, sneezing, aches, malaise and a low-grade fever. That’s how I’m rolling today.
